The Living Network
Winner, Gold - Transform Awards Europe 2026.
Brambles and CHEP are the invisible backbone of global supply chain logistics. Present everywhere but largely unseen. The strategic challenge for this rebrand was to make that hidden scale feel alive without reducing it to the usual generic "global network" cliché.
As Lead Motion Designer at Coley Porter Bell I shaped the motion strategy from concept through to delivery, defining how the new identity would behave across a unified motion system.
The starling murmuration creative decision rooted the entire motion language in a single, resonant idea. This gave the brand a biological logic that was fluid, interconnected and organised making the proposition feel distinctive and ownable.
From that central concept the motion system was developed under the idea of the ‘Living Network’ which carries the Brambles brand’s central purpose of people, product and place. CHEP's iconic pallets moving in unison giving a kinetic typography approach and a set of motion behaviours that was scalable across both brands simultaneously. The system was designed to be handed off and built so it could be owned and extended by client teams globally.
